Why do I receive 'API throttled, trying again tomorrow. ' in TrustFile?

Overview

When syncing TrustFile data with API, receive 'API throttled, trying again tomorrow'.

Environment

Resolution

  • The data sync between Trustfile and your accounting system, (API sync) allows up to 5,000 transactions per day.

    • The error means your data is more than allowed for us to sync in a single day.

    • Each connection is throttled based upon number of requests required to sync.

  • Sync resumes once the daily limit is cleared

  • Go to Transactions to see all transactions that have been synced so far. 

 

Note: This typically occurs only at the initial sync setup. Once the account it synchronized, it will pull invoices and bank transactions in every few hours, so shouldn't have trouble keeping current.
