I am unable to find the transaction when filtering by state

Overview

When I filter by state, I am unable to find the transaction in Transactions tab.
 

all I see is " * " marked in state/province field for the transaction

Environment

AvaTax

Resolution

The asterisk mark * signifies that there is a different address other than the document level address at line level for that particular transaction.

 

For Example: If the document address is NY and line level is for NJ or any different address than document address for NY the transaction will not come up in search for NY transactions.
