How can I troubleshoot failed API calls to the AvaTax Update from CertCapture?


There are certificates on your failed API call report and you want to know how to get them out of there.


Avalara CertCapture


  • In the Failed API Calls report, go to each Certificate that is showing an API error and click the History tab.
  • In the failed API message it will tell you what is wrong that is causing the failure to happen.
  • Fix the certificate in CertCapture and then click Queue API Resend. If the next item in the API history is a "success" message, the failed certificate should have been pushed over to AvaTax and the certificate will not appear on your next Failed API Call report.
