I just received a reminder to file my sales and use tax return from the state. Should I send it in?
- Avalara does not need the reminders to file as we are aware when each return is due.
- If you receive one, make sure that Avalara is filing this return by going to the Admin Console -> Tax Returns Tab-> Avalara Returns Calendar and make sure the filing frequency, registration ID, and forms match, if the reminder has this information.
- If the state is not listed there, this means that Avalara is not filing this return.
- If this is the case, fill out the filing calendar and send to Avalara so we may file the return.
