Why is my CertCapture API connection being terminated?


You want to know why your CertCapture API connection is being terminated







  • Avalara has re-issued the SSL certificate that is used to secure the CertCapture API
  • If you are performing additional certificate validation this change could cause a connection issue with Cert Capture
  • If you are unsure about your implementation, please contact your internal team that supports the system integrated with CertCapture 
  • To resolve the issue: 
    • You must trust the new public Certcapture SSL certificate by installing it in your trusted store
      • You can download the certificate directly from the endpoint you are hitting (example: OR you can download the attached file.
