Avalara recently made updates to Avalara Extractor for Shopify and released a new version on June 14, 2022. (Your extractor is updated automatically; you do not need to do anything.)
The enhancement allows you to view line-level information. This enables Avalara Extractor for Shopify to support additional services, like Streamlined Sales Tax (SST). For more information about SST, review this Avalara Help Center article.
If you need to edit currently posted refunds after June 14, 2022, there are actions you need to take. Please see the Resolution section on what you need to do.
If you need to edit currently posted refunds after June 14, 2022
- Avalara has updated refund documents to include R in the document code. If you edit refunds that Avalara has already extracted, Avalara could potentially post that edit as a new refund transaction.
- If you will be editing currently posted refunds after June 14, 2022, please review documents with R in the document code to ensure they do not duplicate those previously posted refunds. To ensure accuracy, you will need to void the older copy of the transaction (without R). For information on voiding transactions, please see this article: Void a transaction.
