Why is my import in the status of "waiting"?

Overview

I imported an import template and now the import screen in Avalara is stuck on "waiting".

Environment

Avalara AvaTax

Resolution

  • Refresh the screen. 
    • Once you have refreshed the screen, it will show the current Status.
  • Waiting indicates the file is in the queue to be processed, but has not started yet
    • This is not an error message
    • It will be processed and then show if there was any error
    • You do not need to stay logged in for the batch to process
    • If you imported a file with Filters, please save again without filters applied, then import the newly saved file
      • Filters in your Excel file slow our batch process
