How do I resolve the error: The certificate customer is not associated to a country.?

Overview

When I look at the history of the certificate, it shows API call initiated for certificate: Failure. Received response: The certificate customer(*****) is not associated to a country.

Environment

Avalara CertCapture

Resolution

  • The Certificate was indicating that the country was missing from the customer.
  • Pull up the Customer record
    • Details tab > Edit
    • Update Customer record to include the appropriate country
  • Queue API Resend on the certificate
