What does Tax override cannot be applied. Nexus is not configured for NJ US mean?

Overview

You see the error "Tax override cannot be applied. Nexus is not configured for XX" in your Error file from a transaction import.

Resolution

  • You need to add nexus:
    • If you do not have nexus activated for the state you cannot do an import that has a tax override
    • Check that the state is selected AND that the transaction is dated during the active time (between the start and end dates)
      • Go to Organization > click Nexus > go to the State and check that it is selected, verify dates
