Restore tax items

The Avalara AvaTax maintains a backup when you map your company’s tax items to AvaTax during initial configuration or later by using the Tax Item Mapper tool. You can use this backup to restore your previous tax items at any time. This action unassigns the AvaTax tax items from customer records in QuickBooks Desktop.

Steps

  1. On the AvaTax connector for QuickBooks, go to Tools > Tax Item Mapper.
  2. On the Tax Item Mapper page, select Restore From Backup to open the said page.
  3. On the Restore From Backup page, review the former and current tax items, and then select the Restore from this backup button to restore your previous tax items.
