Connect QuickBooks Desktop to AvaTax Update

After you create your initial company profile, the next step is to connect your business application or system to AvaTax Update through an integration, software that enables the flow of transactions to AvaTax Update. 

Before you begin

If you're connecting more than one business application, it can be helpful to list them before you begin. If you work for a large company and aren't sure which business application to connect, ask the person who purchased AvaTax Update. 

Steps

  1. Get your license key.
    Check your email for a license key or create one now.
  2. Get your integration.
    Download software that enables a connection between QuickBooks Desktop and AvaTax Update.
  3. Install the AvaTax integration for QuickBooks Desktop.
    Install the integration software.  
  4. Establish the connection between QuickBooks Desktop and AvaTax Update.
    Enter your account information to start transactions flowing to AvaTax Update for tax calculation.
