Older transactions are archived on a separate server so that we have them on hand if you upgrade your data storage plan or need transactions in the event of an audit. Submit a transaction request to retrieve archived transactions.
Before you begin
Accessing transactions older than two or three years requires an Archive Access data storage plan.
- In AvaTax, go to Account > Support Cases.
- Click Open a Support Case.
- Enter your company and case information. In the body field, specify the date range for your archived transactions.
- Product: AvaTax.
- Which part? Transactions and invoices.
- Which best describes your case? I have a question about AvaTax.
- Are you trying to access historical transactions? Yes.
- Subject: Archived transaction request.
- Body: The date range for your archived transactions.
- Click Submit.
Pulling the transactions out of the archive and sending them to you may take up to two weeks, but is usually faster. We'll contact you when they're ready.
