This is an FAQ of MyLodge's new "Revenue by Marketplace" subscription.
Q: What is Revenue by Marketplace?
A: Revenue by Marketplace is a new revenue reporting model that allows the customer to report revenue by marketplaces on a single property. Supported marketplaces include Direct Bookings, Airbnb, & Vrbo. The Revenue by Marketplace model excludes any taxes paid by the marketplace from the tax calculations.
Q: What does it cost?
A: Revenue by Marketplace is included with your subscription at no extra cost.
Q: Who is eligible for Revenue by Marketplace?
A: All customers with five or fewer properties with at least one property subscription in Active or Requires Setup status.
Q: Does this service work on my mobile phone?
A: Yes. You will be able to quickly and easily report your revenue for all marketplaces on a mobile phone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer.
Q: How has reporting revenue changed?
A: Revenue generated from all of your marketplaces can now be reported on a single property; you no longer have to manage separate properties for each marketplace you report revenue for. For each property with an active marketplace subscription, you can report revenue for Direct Bookings, Airbnb, & Vrbo. After reporting revenue you will now click a "Save & Review" button at the bottom of the page. After saving the entries, you can exit the Report Revenue page and come back later to make changes and your reported revenue will be saved. Once you are done reporting revenue, you will click "Pay Now" as usual for the transaction to process. If you do not click "Pay Now" your reported revenue will be auto-confirmed on the 10th of the month. All Revenue by Marketplace subscriptions will require monthly reporting into the MyLodge website.
Q: What happens if I don't log in to confirm my revenue?
A: We'll auto-confirm the reported revenue on the 10th day of the month, even if you don't log in to confirm your revenue data. If you have not logged in to report revenue by the 10th of the month, $0 in revenue will be auto-confirmed.
Q: What happens if I need to adjust my revenue after I've reported it?
A: Due to the added costs of manual adjustments, there is an additional charge if you need to adjust your revenue. Please see the Avalara Help Center article, "MyLodgeTax Fees" regarding adjustment fees and carefully review your revenue data before confirming. Q: How has the Tax History page changed?
A: Tax History has been redesigned to include both your pre & post Revenue by Marketplace data. On each tax form, revenue and tax is broken down by marketplace.
