Transaction status in Avalara Consumer Use

Use transaction statuses to filter transactions and track your allocations.

Avalara Consumer Use is an add-on for AvaTax. Adjust transactions in Avalara Consumer Use and then forward them to your AvaTax company to manage reports and returns.

Statuses

Status Description
Ignored The transaction is reviewed and no further action is required. The ignored transactions can not be accrued directly.
Accrued

The transaction is reviewed and a consumer use accrual is recorded.

Awaiting review If any further review is required, the transaction is marked for a review due to a post-processing rule.
Awaiting allocation If any further allocation is required on a transaction, it is marked for review due to a post-processing rule.
Unresolved (includes Allocated) The transaction needs to be reviewed by a user to resolve the inaccuracies (if any) and to decide on how to apply the tax.
Auto-processed Automatically committed (accrued) or confirmed (ignored) to AvaTax by an auto-processing rule.
Errors The status depicts that an error has occurred while calculating the tax. Check the transaction details (audit logs) for more details.

Change transaction status

To change a transaction status in Avalara Consumer Use, go to Transactions > Access and edit.

  1. Select a single or multiple transactions that you want to change.
  2. Select the Status and click Apply.
