Add company fields to Avalara Consumer Use

Avalara Consumer Use transactions have fields for important company information such as vendor, cost center, purpose, and more. If you don't want to rely on automatic processing settings to save common company values, add them manually.

If you plan to set up default values before you begin importing, Avalara recommends starting with Item Codes.

Avalara Consumer Use is an add-on for AvaTax. Adjust transactions in Avalara Consumer Use and then forward them to your AvaTax company to manage reports and returns.

Before you begin

Review autosave and autopopulate settings


  1. In Avalara Consumer Use, go to Settings. Company values begin from the third setting down.  
  2. Select Manage your company's <Field Name> to view the page for that field.
  3. Select Add to create a new company value.
  4. Save your new value.

Return to Settings to manage defaults for another transaction component.
