Unlink a document from a customer

Unlink a document from a customer record if it was mistakenly linked, or if you plan to delete the customer.


  1. In CertCapture, search for the customer whose document you want to remove.
  2. Select the customer number.
    The customer Details tab opens.
  3. Select the Taxability Info tab.
  4. On the Taxability Info page, find the document you want to unlink, then right-click the document and select Unlink This Certificate.
  5. Review the confirmation message that appears.
    • If the customer is a bill-to or a ship-to customer, unlinking a document from also unlinks it for the associated bill-to or ship-to customers.
    • If the document is one region of a multijurisdictional document, unlinking it also unlinks the associated multijurisdictional regions from the customer.
  6. Select OK to proceed with unlinking the document from the customer.
