CertCapture Email Notifications and Settings

This article applies to:Avalara CertCapture

CertCapture sends emails when users and documents are uploaded CertCapture, new documents are ready to be validated, or scheduled reports are ready for download. These notifications come from "notifications@certcapture.com".

Certain CertCapture notifications can be customized or disabled.

Change "From" address on CertCapture notifications

  1. Click your name in the upper right and select My Profile.
  2. Click My Preferences and then click Email Preferences to expand that section.
  3. Customer Email is the email address that appears in the From field on customer notifications, such as document requests
  4. Select the correct email. The change is saved immediately.

Don't send "New Stack Available..." notifications

  1. Click your name in the upper right and select My Profile.
  2. Click My Preferences and then click Document Data Entry Preferences to expand that section.

Don't send "Certificate Completion..." notifications for CertExpress requests

  1. Go to Company Settings > Company Details > CertExpress Settings, and then click Edit.

Turn off the ability to send "Certificate Validation..." notifications

  1. Click your name in the upper right and select My Profile.
  2. Click My Preferences and then click Document Data Entry Preferences to expand that section.
    • Validation Notifications - Uncheck this if you don't want the option to notify a customer that their certificate has been processed once you're finished validating it 
    • This change is saved immediately

Don't send email notifications for blank reports

  1. Click your name in the upper right and select My Profile.
  2. Click My Preferences and then click Email Preferences to expand that section.
    • Skip Blank Report Emails - Check this if you want CertCapture to skip sending you a scheduled report if it doesn't contain information
    • This change is saved immediately

"Certificate Completion Notification"

  • Sent to your customer when they submit a form (such as when they complete a request using CertExpress)
  • Disable at Company Settings > Company Details > CertExpress Settings > Send Certificate Completion Client Notifications

"Certificate Validation Notification"

  • You have the option to send this to a customer after you validate their document 
  • Remove the option to send this notification under My Profile > My Preferences Document Data Entry Preferences > Validation Notifications

Subscribe to CertCapture API Email Alerts

  1. Go to Account Settings > Email Notifications.
  2. Click Add Email Notification.
    • Add the email address that should receive notifications
    • Select API
    • Select Success or Failure
    • Select the company (client) API to receive notifications for
    • Set the email frequency
