Why did I get an error when importing transactions on lines with nothing filled in?

Overview

Importing transactions into the admin console I get an error, and result. The error file has headers, but no lines filed out except sometimes the Qty, Amount, and Discount columns.

Environment

Avalara Avatax 

Resolution

  • Occasionally Excel can have an issue where it says there is information in blank lines.  This can often happen if using the same file to imports multiple times. 
  • If this happens, check the results file and ensure that all your transactions are there. If they are then you do not have to worry.
