Why am I receiving an error when running AR utilities in Sage 100 when Avalara Avatax is turned on?

Overview

We are seeing AR batches in Sage 100 throw errors when we have thousands of transactions in a batch. We're also seeing it take over an hour to get through these batches and many delays due to some transactions not being in Avalara Avatax due to the batch timing out as well.

Resolution

  • This issue was fixed in the following December releases for the Sage 100 connector:

  • Sage Sales Tax for Sage 100 2013 (5.00) (Avalara release: 5.00.0.0.08.0 - December 2016)

  • Sage Sales Tax for Sage 100 2014 (5.10) (Avalara release: 5.10.0.0.12.0 - December 2016)

  • Sage Sales Tax for Sage 100 2015 (5.20) (Avalara release: 5.20.0.0.07.0 - December 2016)

  • Sage Sales Tax for Sage 100 2016 (5.30) (Avalara release: 5.30.0.0.05.0 - December 2016)

  • Sage Sales Tax for Sage 100 2017 (5.40) (Avalara release: 5.40.0.0.01.0 - December 2016)

  • Please update to at least the December release of the connector or later depending on the date of  the use of this article.
