Does AvaTax add locations I’ve registered with the state to my AvaTax account?

Overview

Some states require AvaTax Returns filers to report sales by the locations that business has registered with the state. If the locations the business has registered with the state do not match the locations in AvaTax, Returns filed for that jurisdiction may be inaccurate.

Resolution

To improve filing accuracy and ensure filers are meeting state requirements, in some states, Avalara may automatically pull state-registered locations for a business from the state Department of Revenue (DOR) site, and add them to the list of AvaTax locations.
