ACTION NEEDED: Certain LA returns need valid NAICS code

Overview

Louisiana Department of Revenue (LDR) is assigning business codes to sales tax accounts based upon the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS).

LDR now requires that all LA R1029 and LA R1031 returns be filed with a valid NAICS Code.

To find your NAICS code and add it to your Avalara scheduled return, see the Resolution section below.

Note: If this information is not provided, the Louisiana state return will be filed with a default code of 44.
