How do I enter a prepaid amount of tax in the liability worksheet?


You need to enter tax prepayments that you made directly to the state.




  • Click the Tax Returns tab
  • Click the drop-down arrow next to the state
  • Click the blue Amount under the Remit to Avalara column
    • Click Prior Payment and add the Amount you've already paid to the state as a positive amount
  • Refresh your browser to see that amount deducted from your total liability for that liability period and state
