Sometimes the setup assistant will launch every time you load your software even if the company has been properly set up. This happens because the setup assistant thinks that all necessary steps have not been completed.
- In the setup assistant follow all steps, even if previously followed.
- This includes selecting a g/l for tax distribution and setting at least some of your customers to use AVATAX as the Tax Item.
- Go to Configuration (File > Avalara > Configuration) and click Test > Save
Note: In QuickBooks you may encounter this behavior if not all workstations are running the same version of Avatax. It is mandatory that they are all on the same version, so you will need to upgrade all workstations to the same version.
