Why is tax not correct for an updated customer in QuickBooks?


You changed information (address, exemption number, customer type, etc.) on a customer record, but tax is still calculating with the old information (tax is being calculated incorrectly) you want to know how to update the invoice. 




  • Open the sale in QuickBooks > Reselect the customer (clear the customer name, then select same customer) > QuickBooks updates the invoice from the current customer record, so the new information is reflected
