Why can't I push transactions to the error list in QuickBooks?


When you try to push an item to the error list nothing happens or it results in an error message




  • Press F2 in QuickBooks to see the full path of where the Avalara folder is.
    • It will be under file location
  • exit out of QuickBooks
    • Open the task manager
    • in the processes tab end everything that starts with QB or Avalaraeventcallback
  • Find the folder and find a file that says (Companyname)_ErrorList.xml
  • You have 2 options
    • Delete the file or Edit the file and add the following

<?xml version="1.0"?>


  • Once one of these two options have been completed restart QuickBooks
