Why am I getting the error "CB-281: Access to path is denied"?


In Quickbooks, you are getting the error "CB-281: Access to path quickbooks/data/avalara/.../license.ini is denied"





  • Please have your IT team make sure that your user has full administrative privileges, that includes read, write and modify, to this file path.

Note: When making changes to the permissions, please make sure that Quickbooks is closed and any QB, Intuit, or AvaTax background processes have been ended in the task manager.
