How do I resolve the CB-301 error in QuickBooks?

You are receiving an CB-301 error in QuickBooks.

Resolution

  • This is an issue where QuickBooks did not close the connection to AvaTax properly.
  • Closing out QuickBooks and opening the Windows Task Manager to close any QB or AvaTax processes will resolve the issue.
