Why is lat/long not saved to address record after updating bundle?


In a recent bundle update Avalara removed the ability to save lattitude/longitude results returned from address validations. Many of our clients used that as a visual representation that the address was validated so they didn't have to validate it more than once.




  • Update your bundle
  • Navigate to Avalara> Setup> Configure Avalara
  • Click Next, OK, Next, Next
  • Enable the feature "Display Valid Address(AvaTax) flag on customer address"
  • Notice the new column when you have the customer card in edit mode to indicate if the address has been validated
