Resolution
- The "Abort Save Operation on Tax Calculation Errors" in the NetSuite Avalara bundle allows a user to stop billing if tax cannot be calculated.
- This feature gives a user the choice to interrupt saving transactions if:
- There is an issue with an address, and tax could not be determined
- Validate Origin and Destination address. if using Locations, verify Location address.
- A transaction is locked and cannot be edited
- There is an issue with Internet access
- The AvaTax service is unavailable
- There is an issue with an address, and tax could not be determined
- Using this feature, billing can be stopped, if tax cannot be calculated.
- This feature gives a user the choice to interrupt saving transactions if:
- To access the "Abort Save Operation on Tax Calculation Errors" feature.
- Go to Avalara > Setup > Configure Avalara > Tax Calculation tab.
- Users can use this feature for the following types of Sales Transactions:
- Bulk Billing
- User Interfaces
- Webservices
- CSV Imports
- Scheduled Scripts
- Suitelets
- Users can use this feature for the following types of Sales Transactions:
