You are trying to edit a customer record and receive the following error
"The field custpage_ava_exemptno contained more than the maximum number (100000) of characters allowed"
Go to Customization > List, Records, & Fields > Record Types > AVAENTITYCODEMAPPING
- Click "More" (at far right) then select "View Records"
- On the AVAENTITYCODEMAPPING List
- Delete duplicate customers
- There should be only one record, per customer
