Why is there no county tax on my invoice?

Overview

You created an invoice and want to know why there is no County, City or Special tax.

Resolution

  • In the Nexus setting the "Tax Type" of the state in question is set to "Sales or Sellers Use"

    • The County, City or Special jurisdiction does not collect "Use" tax.  Therefore, no tax will be generated in these locales only State tax.  

      • The County/City/Special jurisdiction does collect "Sales" tax.

    • To see which "Tax Type" (Sales or Use) is being used on the transaction(s), click "Edit" > "Lines". Next, expand row(s) of line item(s) to view the tax type.
