Why did we receive an email stating we have a Nexus and filing calendar discrepancy?


I've received an email from Avalara stating that there is a discrepancy between my nexus and filing calendar suddenly and want to know why.

  • This is happening because your filing calendar is set for one type of tax but your nexus is set to collect the other.
  • For example you're set for use tax in Alabama but your nexus is set to force sales tax.
  • Simply adjust your nexus to match the filing calendar to resolve the issue.
  • You are just now seeing this email because we will no longer be correcting this on the back end for you. This does not mean you have been out of compliance for the time prior to the email.
