What is the "Rate Maintenance" menu item found within SalesTax II?


You want to know what changes can be made on the "Rate Maintenance" menu item in SalesTax II.


SalesTax II


  • The purpose of this menu option is to give the user access to the main file in the system, the Rate File, from this menu item one can make the following updates to rates, effective dates, city and county descriptions and other data in Rate File records:
    • Add
    • Change
    • Delete


Note: This option should be used with caution. Avalara provides correct rates updated on a monthly basis. Generally, there should be no need to use this option, unless there is a special rate condition that needs to apply.
