How do I fix the error "Geocoding error: Address is incomplete or invalid" in Dynamics GP?

Overview

I am trying to post an invoice in Dynamics GP but I receive an error message saying, "Geocoding error Address is incomplete or invalid". 

Environment

Microsoft Dynamics GP 

Resolution

  • Click the blue arrow next to the Customer ID in the Sales Transaction Entry window
  • Open the Shipping Method setup field
  • Change the shipping method to 'Pick Up' and click 'Save'
  • Recalculate the tax and switch the shipping method back to 'Delivery' and click 'Save' 
  • Post the invoice
