Why can I not save the Avalara configuration in Magento?


When you try to save the Avalara configuration in Magento your save is unsuccessful and you get the following errors:

Please fix the follow issues:

- Bad Request

- You must enter an account number

- You must enter a license key

- You must enter a company code




  • This set of errors indicates that your Magento store has a setting enabled so that saving admin level changes is not currently possible.
  • Follow up with Magento support documentation to determine how to re-enable the saving of admin level configuration, help documentation is located
    • We recommend you refer to information from the Magento web service logs, or Magento exception.log to see the specific error being experienced to better determine the exact resolution
