How can I resolve being locked out of the admin console from too many failed log in attempts?

Overview

You've received an email stating you're locked out of the admin console due to too many failed attempts.

Environment

Avalara Avatax

Resolution

  • This can occurr if you have failed trying to log in too many times with invalid username/password combinations.
  • Any current admin of your account can log in and switch you from inactive to active and reset your password for you.
  • This does not require support assistance unless you are the only admin for your company.
  • If that is the case we need emailed instruction specifically telling us this is the case using company letter head and a company signature showing your title with your organization.
