Why is a sale in Intacct not coming into the Admin Console?

Overview

You are trying to complete an invoice in Intacct but there is not any tax calculated, when you went into the Admin Console to check the transaction you could not find it. You want to know why the transaction is not in the Avalara AvaTax Admin Console.

Resolution

  • There are two Taxable flags on customers within Intacct:

    • Marking the customer as non-taxable on the customer record causes Intacct to not send the customer's orders to AvaTax.

    • Marking the customer as non-taxable on the ship-to-address of the customer causes Intacct to send the customer's orders to AvaTax marked as "non-taxable".

  • To fix:

    • Mark the customer as Taxable by clicking the checkmark next to Taxable on the customer record

    • Recalculate the invoice to send the transaction to Avalara
