Why do I get a Product/Service not selected error when I try to calculate tax in QuickBooks Online?


I am getting the error "Product/Service not selected" when I try to calculate tax.

If the product/service item name is not present for any line item on the transaction UI, then this error is received.

This is an expected behavior.

To avoid this error, make sure you add the Product name for all the line items on the transaction UI.

This is also applicable for all Markup items.
