How to resolve the error, "You need to set up a division / client hierarchy to continue" in CertCapture?
Overview
One of your users logs into CertCapture and sees the message below:
"You need to set up a division/client hierarchy to continue.
You have been redirected to your company admin panel"
Environment
Avalara CertCapture
Resolution
- First make sure the user is Active
- Account Settings > Manage Users
- Find the user and press the View link
- Under the Details tab, make sure Active is set to Yes
- If the user is active, go to Account Settings > Manage Users
- Find the user and press the Assign Companies link
- Place a checkmark by the company you would like your user to have access to
- Select a user role from the drop-down list
- Press Update Company Assignments
