Why is my multi-jurisdictional certificate not showing up in history after queuing and API call?

Overview

After queuing an API call nothing shows up in the history tab on the certificate.

Environment

Avalara CertCapture

Multi Jurisdiction Certificates

Resolution

  • If the Certificate is part of a multi-jurisdiction certificate the API call history will be under the main certificate.
    • this is usually the first or last state in alphabetical order
  • ​Click on the Details tab > scroll to Associated Multi-Jurisdictional Certificates > click on first one in list and review History tab
    • If the primary certificate is no longer the first alphabetically, you must find it by using Certificate Search:
      • Go to Search > Certificate Search > search for certificates associated with that customer > look for the lowest number of the multi jurisdiction certificate group by sorting the list by Certificate ID using the certificate number of the one you were editing
