How do I revoke a certificate in the Admin Console?


You need to revoke a certificate in the Admin Console.




  • Go to Organization > Exemptions > select the Exemption Certificate> click Revoke.
  • If you also have CertCapture, Revoke is not an option. Customers using Admin Console and CertCapture together must revoke exemptions in CertCapture.
  • If you're unable to revoke the certificate, contact Avalara Support and provide the Customer ID, Cert ID and region(s) if more than one certificate is on file for the customer.

Note: Once you revoke the certificate it can't apply to a new sale. To exempt the customer for future sales, open the certificate and click Copy, or create a new certificate.
