What is the difference between committed and uncommitted transactions?


You want to know what the terms "committed" and "uncommitted" transaction are referring to in the Customer Portal.



Communications Customer Portal


  • Uncommitted transactions are not remitted for you (if we file your returns) and  are not reflected in your reports.
    • Typically, uncommitted transactions are used for unfinished transactions, such as quotes or sales orders.
  • Committed transactions are included in the Customer Portal reports and the returns files for your company.
    • Committed transactions are considered finalized or posted transactions.
