Avalara has conducted an audit review of jurisdictions which currently have a duplicate jurisdiction record within the AvaTax jurisdiction database. With the maintenance release effective October 1, 2020, Avalara will expire a number of duplicate nexus jurisdictions within the following non-compulsory local nexus states: AL, AZ, CO, TX.
If you are a customer with nexus selected in any of the expiring nexus jurisdictions, you will see that nexus setting automatically updated by Avalara to the corresponding equivalent maintained nexus jurisdiction, which will remain available in AvaTax to be maintained going forward.
For a complete list of jurisdictions which will be expired and their corresponding equivalent jurisdictions, please review the Expired Jurisdictions list: Expired Jurisdictions October 2020
