Why was a Transaction not Included in a Return?

Overview

A transaction was not included in a return and I need to know why

Environment

Avalara AvaTax

Resolution

  • The transaction was not added to the admin console prior to the 10th of the month at 5:00 pm Pacific Time for the applicable filing period
  • The transaction was not in a committed status prior to the 10th of the month at 5:00 pm Pacific Time for the applicable filing period 
  • In such instances an Amended Return may be needed. If so- please see Amend and File Late
  • The transaction can also be moved to a current filing period by changing the document date. You can see Manage Transactions for more info on that
