How to I resolve Multiple users are associated with this e-mail

Overview

When Attempting to reset your password by e-mail it results in the message "Multiple users are associated with this e-mail"

Environment

AvaTax

Resolution

  • Please have your Account Admin take the following actions

  • In the Avalara Admin Console

  • Settings > Manage User

  • Filter Active from Yes to <All>

  • Find the duplicate log-in and change the e-mail to a fake one such as 123@fake456.com

  • Save

 

Next Steps

  • If you are unable to find the duplicate log-in please e-mail Support@avalara.com and include the e-mail being used to reset your password.
