How do I resolve 'No match found for ECMS Cert Id.' in CertCapture?

Overview

I uploaded an exemption certificate and have an API failure of 'No match found for ECMS Cert Id. ()'.

Environment

Avalara CertCapture

Resolution

  • This issue is occurring because someone has manually updated the customer number.  

    • Avalara will need to revoke the certificate entry from the AvaTax Admin Console that is associated with affected customer.
