Why does my CertCapture session immediately end after a password reset?

Overview

You have reset your CertCapture password, but when you attempt to go to any pages other than the password page in CertCapture, the service immediately logs you out ending your session.

Avalara CertCapture

Resolution

  • The browser has a cookie stored that indicates you are not fully logged in:
    • Close your browser completely (close all tabs and all windows) to clear the cache, then log in again with new password
      • If you cannot close the browser due to other windows being used, please simply log in using a different browser
    • ​Depending on your browser settings, you may need to restart your computer to completely close the browser and refresh the settings
