Why Can't I Add Customers to Avalara CertCapture?

Overview

You are trying to load a customer into CertCapture, however you do not have the customers tab.

Environment

Avalara CertCapture

Resolution

  • To add a customer you must view the subsidiary profile for the single company that the customer should be attached to:
  • Next to your name in the upper right corner, click the Company drop-down and select the Company
    • If you still cannot see the Customers tab, this indicates that you are a standard user
    • Standard users do not have the permissions to edit certificates or add customers, so you cannot see the tab.
  • Have your Admin User change you to an Advanced User
