Why are opportunities closed this month not showing as committed in the admin console?

Overview

You have completed and finalized some opportunities today, which should show committed transactions in the admin console, but they are not showing in the account when searching on the closed date.

Environment

AvaTax for SalesForce

Resolution

  • The opportunity is sent to Avalara with a particular date, which is not usually the close date:
    • Expand your search to include a larger date range
  • You can add the date field to your opportunity to show when you should search:
    • On an Opportunity click Edit Layout > in Fields select Tax Date and apply to the section where you would like it to show > click Save
