Why am I getting a CompanyNotFoundError in the error.csv file when importing transactions?

Overview

I am getting a "CompanyNotFoundError" message, when I import my transactions. The company code is 000.

Environment

Avalara AvaTax

Resolution

  • If your CompanyCode value is a numeric value with leading zeros (i.e. 00123) , enter an apostrophe in the field before entering the values.
    • For example "'000"
  • This will have the effect of converting the data field into a text string, which is expected in the CompanyCode element.
